Brighton & Hove Albion Women have signed Rianna Jarrett from Wexford Youths and taken Maxime Bennink on a loan deal from Reading.
Jarrett, a 25-year-old Republic of Ireland international, has signed a six-month contract with the club, following the expiration of her previous deal with Wexford Youths.
Manager Hope Powell told brightonandhovealbion.com: “It is great news that we have managed to bring Rianna to the club, as she is someone who will bolster our forward options.
“We have kept a close eye on her progress in Ireland, and I know she was very keen to come over to England and prove herself in the Women’s Super League.”
Jarrett has won successive FAI Women’s National League Player of the Season awards.
Netherlands U-23 international winger Maxime Bennink signs on a loan deal from Reading until the end of the season.
She began her career at FC Twente and made two appearances in their title winning side of 2016, then spent three years with PEC Zwolle before her move to the Royals last August.
Powell said, “We are delighted to welcome Maxime to the club, as she is a player that we’ve closely monitored in recent months.
“One of our main priorities during this January window was to strengthen our existing attacking options, and we have been able to do that with the addition of Maxime.”
