Ireland celebrate their late winner (faie.ie)

It was three straight wins for Colin Bell’s Republic of Ireland side in the UEFA U-17 Championship qualifiers, after they scored in either half to defeat Greece 2-0.

Ciara Fowler gave them a 21st-minute lead and although the Greeks failed to get a shot on target, it wasn’t until the dying minutes that the win was sealed.

Louise Masterson came off the bench for the last 10 minutes and soon doubled the Irish advantage.

Bosnia & Herzegovina finished three points behind the Group 4 leaders after a 1-0 win over Romania.

Wales crush Kazakhstan

Wales were already out of contention before their final group game against Kazakhstan but they finished in style with an 8-0 win.

Tamsyn Sibanda put them in front, with Elise Hughes and Emily Jones both scoring shortly before the break for a 3-0 interval lead.

Hughes got a couple more to complete her hat-trick on 49 minutes, after which Amina Vine converted a penalty for 6-0.

Sibanda netted her second on 62 minutes, Jones following suit with 2 minutes remaining.

France finished ahead for Group 5 hosts Denmark on goal-difference after the pair drew 0-0.
