Ipswich Town made it four Suffolk FA Women’s Cup wins in a row, coming from behind for a 5-1 victory over AFC Sudbury at Colchester United FC on Monday afternoon.

The Eastern League went ahead direct from a Sophie Jeffrey corner but the FAWPL side were swiftly level, Natasha Thomas following up Sophie Welton’s parried effort.

Zoe Cossey and Welton both hit the crossbar before Amanda Crump swept home from Thomas’s cut back.

Lindsey Cooper headed against the bar and Cassie Craddock became the fourth Ipswich player to be denied by the woodwork, via a Penny Everett save on this occasion.

Welton then turned in the rebound from a Thomas effort and Cooper headed home from a Crump corner, before Thomas turned in her second goal from a Cossey flag-kick to complete the scoring.
