Hashtag, Loughborough and Norwich City Women hit top spots

Hashtag United, Loughborough Lightning and Norwich City went top of FA Women’s National League tables, Middlesbrough and Wolves level on points with leaders.

Northern Premier Division

Derby County 1-1 Rugby Borough
Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 Stoke City (Att: 472)

Anna M0rphet’s first-half brace set Wolves on the way to a 3-0 victory over Stoke City, as they moved back level on points with leaders Nottingham Forest, having played one match more.

Chene Muir gave Derby County the lead against Rugby Borough but Lucy Wood levelled before the break in a 1-1 draw.

Southern Premier Division

Chelise Fleming recorded a hat-trick on her Hashtag United debut in the double-figure result at MK Dons, that put them top by three points but from as many games more than morning leaders Ipswich Town.

Exeter City edge AFC Wimbledon 2-1 to go third, Sarah Stacey’s opener cancelled out by Ashlee Hincks but Sophie Gillies restoring the advantage.

Watford were 2-1 winners at Cheltenham Town, Lachante Paul on target before Madison Perry followed up to score from a Bianca Baptiste effort against the post, Anais Trinci replying for the hosts.

Lewes levelled late on against Oxford United, Sarah Harvey equalising after Ellie-Mae Richardson’s first-half goal.

Plymouth Argyle had to settle for a draw as Billericay Town responded to going behind to goals by Charlotte Whitmore and Ellie Sara, the second equaliser coming in added time of the relegation ‘six-pointer’.

Loughborough Lightning replaced Northampton Town in pole position, Ella-Mai Coutts with a couple in the 4-0 result.

Peterborough United put five past Solihull Moors with Renai Bennett and Niamh Reynolds each getting a double, as they sit goal-difference off the leaders but from three games more.

Katie Williams and Lucy Farrow had Lincoln United two up against Leafield Athletic, whose Ella Bryan nodded in a late reply for the side that began the day second.

Sutton Coldfield Town struck a late winner at Barnsley Women, Freya Smith scoring with a long-range free kick.

Boldmere hit Lincoln City for six with three apiece from Anna Wilcox and Chloe Finn, Notts County netted a 5-2 result over Worcester City, with Shoniqua Barnes twice on target.

The meeting of first and third ended a goalless draw for Cheadle and Chorley, Middlesbrough now level on points with the former after Armani Maxwell’s corner flew straight in for three points at Huddersfield Town.

Durham Cestria twice led against fourth-placed Leeds United through Nicki Gears and Lucy Noble, Kath Smith converting a penalty and Sarah Danby a free kick in response.

Doncaster Rovers Belles led for nearly 90 minutes at Stockport following Hannah McWilliams’ early goal but County levelled in stoppage-time direct from Levi Rathburn’s corner kick.

Norton and Fylde drew 2-2, the former twice in front through Louise Atkinson and Erin Boyle, Imogen Borrowdale got the first equaliser,  Nicola James the second in off the post from distance.

Barnsley FC beat York City 3-0, with Charley Evans twice getting on the scoresheet.

Norwich City’s Holly Kennard got the only goal of the match against Chesham United, as the Canaries replaced Real Bedford at the top but having played three games more.

Chatham Town were twice pegged back at QPR, goals by Amelia Woodgate and Ciara Hynes cancelled out by Billie Brooks and then Emily Hill in the 87th minute.

London Bees fell behind in the 82nd minute at Actonians but still managed to win, Aria Heil and Hayley Hoare hitting back.

Dulwich Hamlet equalised twice in the tie with Cambridge United, replying to a Bella Simmons effort and own-goal were Rhea Gall and then Tash Stephens in the dying minutes.

Gemma McGuinness was at the double in AFC Bournemouth’s 4-0 result at Bridgwater United, their 14th win in a row.

Moneyfields won at Bristol Rovers with a couple of goals in the first half by Shannon Albuary and Beth Burgess.

Portishead Town defeated third-placed Swindon Town with an Emily Lindsay goal to sit one point above the drop zone.

Worthing’s Sophie Humphrey bagged a brace in a 3-1 defeat of Keynsham Town, Molly Lygo and Holly Sellwood gave Abingdon United a 2-0 interval lead which they held onto against Maidenhead United.
