SWPL 2 leaders Hamilton Academical held hosts Spartans to a goalless draw after extra-time, before going through 4-3 in the shoot-out.
Buchan did well to take Forfar Farmington to the additional half-hour before bowing out 5-3. Kirsty Deans and Robyn Smith got the extra-time goals, after Buchan had responded to initially going behind by building a 3-1 advantage.
Scottish League outfit Renfrew sent Queen’s Park of SWPL crashing out 5-0.
Celtic progressed comfotably with a 7-0 result at home to fellow top-flight side Aberdeen. Suzanne Mulvey grabbed a first-half treble, Abbi Grant bagged a brace, Kelly Clark and Joanne Paton one each.
Holders Glasgow City crushed East Kilbride 26-0, Leanne Ross leading the way with a triple hat-trick.
Jeanfield routed Ross County 18-0, Hibernian struck Boroughnuire Thistle 11-0 with five from Caroline Heron and Stirling University also reached double figures against Westerlands.
Raith Rovers won by the best of seven goals at Dee Ladies, Rebecca McGowan and Kerrie Dinell got a couple each.
St.Roch’s limited Hearts to a 3-0 scoreline, Rachel Walkingshaw scoring once, assisting with the other two and missing a penalty.
Glasgow Girls came through the trip to Motherwell as 4-1 victors, all their goals coming in the first 37 minutes, with two for Chloe Docherty.
Rangers ran in seven goals past SWFL Division 1 North leaders East Fife, Katey Turner accounting for three of them.
Hutchison Vale won 5-0 over Edinburgh Caledonian, Dunfermline Atletic dumped out Dumbarton United 7-0 with Morgan Steedman on the scoresheet three times and Dundee United went one better against Stenhousemuir, aided by a Chloe Robertson hat-trick.
Granite City had been first to reach to last sixteen, with a 5-1 win away to Dee Vale on Friday evening.
