Glasgow City have signed Scotland International defender Amy Muir, following a three-year spell with Hibernian.

The 22-year-old has one senior Scotland cap to her name when she featured against Northern Ireland in the Pinatar Cup, previously having made numerous appearances in the U-19s.

Muir played for Hibs in the UEFA Women’s Champions League in 2019 and was part of the squad that met City in the 2019 Scottish Cup Final.

Amy Muir on joining Glasgow City: “I’m delighted to have signed for Glasgow City. I’m looking forward to getting started this pre-season with the team and be apart of the continued success the club has had both domestically and in the champions league”

Head Coach Eileen Gleeson commented: “I’m delighted that Amy has chosen to join Glasgow City FC. She is an exciting young Scottish player with huge potential and great experience of the Scottish league. Beyond Amy’s capabilities as a player, she is a committed determined character which are key characteristics we look for in a person. I have no doubt that Amy will enhance our squad as a player and a teammate and look forward to working with her.”
