Germany qualify for 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup

Germany clinched their place at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup with three second-half goals away to Türkiye.

Felicitas Rauch’s opener from the spot on 57 minutes in the Group H game, was soon added to by Klara Bühl.

Lea Schuller scored the third, as her side stepped beyond the reach of both Portugal and Serbia.

Elsewhere, there were several international friendlies played.

USA were 4-0 winners over Nigeria, Sophie Smith getting a first-half double, Lindsey Horan and an Alex Morgan penalty the other scorers.

Adriana Leon scored after 11 minutes to give Canada a 1-0 win over Australia in the friendly played in Brisbane.

New Zealand defeated Mexico by the same scoreline, CJ Bott with the winner six minutes from time.

Brazil beat South Africa 3-0, Geyse Ferreira, Adriana and Tamires their scorers.

South Korea got the only goal against Jamaica, Choe Yu-ri scoring in the opening quarter of an hour.
