Genero Adran Leagues: Llandudno edge Wrexham in North title decider

Llandudno won a thrilling Genero Adran League North title decider 3-2 with a late goal against visitors Wrexham.

Adran Premier Championship

Swansea City 4-1 Cardiff City FC
Cardiff Met 2-0 Aberystwyth Town

Lauren Hutton-Townsend and Emily Richards struck in the last 17 minutes, as Cardiff Met defeated Aberystwyth Town 2-0. But Swansea City stayed top after beating Cardiff City and could be champions next time out on 3 April. Karmyn Carter scored two minutes in for the Swans, Stacey John-Davies netted either side of a Chloe Chivers effort, Danielle Green having got the Bluebirds back in the game before the break.

Adran Premier Plate

The New Saints 2-0 Barry Town United
Pontypridd Town 0-1 Port Talbot Town

Pontypridd missed a chance to win the Plate when losing at home to Port Talbot, who are back in contention thanks to Courtney Thomas’s ninth-minute goal. The New Saints beat Barry with second half efforts from Beth Lewis and Caitlin Chapman.

Bethel 4-1 Connah’s Quay Nomads
Pwllheli 2-0 Llanfair United
Llandudno 3-2 Wrexham

Amber Lightfoot gave Wrexham an early lead, Jasmin Dutton soon levelled when firing home a free kick but Tonicha Dickens’ lob restored the lead from another set-piece. Indie Hassall got the hosts back on level terms in the second half and then dramatically grabbed the winner in the dying minutes.

Bethel’s Mari Gibbard got a hat-trick in the 4-1 defeat of Connah’s Quay, which saw them leap their visitors into third place. Sarah Gray and Stacey Sansome were on target for Pwllheli against Llanfair, while Tegan Hewitt got all three goals as Airbus won at Denbigh.

Swansea University 3-0 Cardiff Bluebelles
Merthyr Town 0-6 Briton Ferry Llansawel
Caldicot Town 0-5 Abergavenny

Amy Thrupp bagged a brace in Abergavenny’s 5-0 win at Caldicot and the leaders can now secure the title in midweek, when they complete their fixtures.

Briton Ferry hit Merthyr for six to remain in contention, Megan Kearle netting half their total. Bethan Lloud got three of Cascade’s nine at Talycopa, Swansea University beat Cardiff Bluebelles 3-0.

Genero Adran Trophy Final

Cardiff City FC and Cardiff Met clash at Dragon Park in Newport, kick off 2pm on Sunday 27 March.
