Adran League: Swansea City Women settle for narrow win over Barry

Swansea City edged Barry Town United 1-0 in the Genero Adran League, Cardiff City Women also made it two wins from two.

Cardiff City put five past Abergavenny, Danielle Green scoring the first two, Danielle Broadhurst, Siobhan Walsh and Rhianne Oakley also on target.

Swansea’s Stacey John-Davis slotted home a penalty in the 16th minute, given after Monet Legall was brought down in the Barry box. This turned out to be the decisive goal of the game and leaves City in second.

Cardiff Met’s Robyn Pinder opened the scoring after just 8 minutes against TNS and turned provider for the second, scored by Ellie Preece 5 minutes later. Preece got her second of the day in the second half to seal the victory.

Pontypridd took the lead through Olivia Francis just before half time and Anais Trinci doubled their lead in the 65th minute. Aberystwyth were awarded a penalty in the 79th minute, dispatched by Tania Wylde.
