France Women 2-1 winners over ten-player Nigeria

Among women’s international friendlies on Saturday, France were 2-1 winners over Nigeria who finished with ten players after a late red card.

Eugenie le Sommer and Amel Majri both scored in a nine-minute spell with Ifeoma Onumonu replying before the break. The Super Falcons had Osinachi Ohale sent off seven minutes into added time.

Chile edged Uruguay 1-0 with an Michelle Olivares goal in stoppage time, Argentina beat Colombia 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 tie in which Kishi Núñez’s opener was cancelled out by the Colombians’ Catalina Usme

Mexico were 4-1 winners over Costa Rica, Christina Burkenroad and Scarlett Camberos on target before Alexa Herrera pulled one back. Rebeca Bernal and Nicole Pérez netted one each by the hour mark to seal the victory.
