Four-figure crowd due for Portsmouth’s Adobe Women’s FA Cup tie

Adobe Women's FA Cup 3rd Round ties

Third-tier Portsmouth have sold over 1,000 tickets for their Adobe Women’s FA Cup 3rd Round tie with Championship side Southampton.

Title-chasing Pompey entertain their south coast rivals at Westleigh Park, with the Saints also pushing for promotion from the second tier.

North West League side Darwen, who knocked out Leeds United on penalties in the last round, have another home tie but more testing still, against  neighbours Blackburn Rovers, who are three divisions their senior.

West Midlands League side Coundon Court must try to span two tiers when hosting FAWNL Northern Premier leaders Burnley.

Durham Cestria pulled off a win at higher-ranked Liverpool Feds in the second round but now visit Sunderland, who hold a two-division advantage over them.

AFC Bournemouth have a similar challenge with an attractive home tie at the Vitality Stadium against Championship leaders Charlton Athletic.

Other underdogs hosting Championship opposition are Rugby Borough versus Sheffield United, MK Dons against Birmingham City, Ipswich Town taking on Lewes, Cheltenham Town facing Reading, Southampton Women’s entertaining Watford and West Brom welcoming Durham WFC.
