Four away wins in Danske Bank Women’s Premier League Cup Q-Fs

The Danske Bank Women’s Premiership League Cup quarter-finals brought four away wins with the home sides all failing to find the net.

Crusaders Strikers 0-3 Linfield
Derry City 0-3 Sion Swifts
Glentoran 0-2 Cliftonville
Mid Ulster 0-3 Lisburn

Keri Halliday opened the scoring for Linfield at Crusaders Strikers, Ebony Leckey soon doubling the lead from the spot. Halliday’s second goal five minutes after the interval sealed Linfield’s semi-final place.

Sion Swifts struck three times in 20 second-half minutes to win through at Derry City. Caoirse Doherty broke the deadlock on 52 minutes, with Kelly Crompton then adding a brace.

Fionnula Morgan scored twice in the opening 13 minutes to secure victory for Cliftonville at holders Glentoran, her first coming from a free kick.

Lisburn went ahead through an own-goal by Mid Ulster’s Karen Donnell, Rachel Kerr made it 2-0 before the break and Julie Henderson completed the scoring ten minutes after the restart.
