Scotland conceded in the first minute on the way to a 4-0 home defeat by Germany in the UEFA Women’s Nations League.
Scotland were behind after only 57 seconds at Tannadice Park, Elisa Malin Senß scoring after the ball was not cleared.
Germany were two up after 20 minutes, when a cross by Jule Brand brought an own goal from Sophie Howard.
Brand threatened again late in the first half but goalkeeper Lee Gibson made the stop with an outstretched boot, before the situation was made safe.
Germany made sure of the win with two further goals close to the hour mark, Cora Zicai netting via the post and Lea Schuller making it 4-0.
Scotland could not quite force a late consolation, as Erin Cuthbert had her shot blocked and Lauren Davidson hit the underside of the crossbar from the rebound.
The return match in Germany is on Tuesday afternoon at 4,45pm BST.
