Argentina will compete in the FIFA Women’s World Cup Finals for the first time in a dozen years after defeating Panama 5-1 on aggregate in the CONMEBOL / CONCACAF Play Off.
Panama trailed 4-0 from their away leg but took the lead on the night through Natalia Mills before the break.
Florencia Bonsegundo replied for Argentina on 65 minutes and although they later had Yamila Rodriquez sent off, they saw out the remaining few minutes for a 1-1 draw.
The Africa and Oceania qualifiers both commence this weekend, with the World Cup draw to be made on 8th December.
