Felinheli, Nomads and Rhyl hit six in Genero Adran Trophy

The Genero Adran Trophy group stage got underway at the weekend, ahead of the big kick-off for the Adran Premier on Sunday 17 September.

North Group 1: NFA 0-6 Connah’s Quay Nomads, Rhyl 6-2 Llanfair United

North Group 2: Felinheli 6-2 Airbus UK Broughton, Llandudno 1-0 Bangor

South Group 1: Briton Ferry Llansawel 4-0 Swansea University, Cwmbran Celtic 0-4 Cascade

South Group 2: Pontardawe Town 4-2 Caldicot Town, Coed Duon 2-1 Llanelli Town

Shannon Hobbs hit a hat-trick as Connah’s Quay Nomads put six past NFA, Sade Benjamin did likewise as Rhyl overcame Llanfair United 6-2 aided by four assists from Rachael Thomas.

Felinheli were another side with a half-dozen goals at the expense of Airbus UK, Catrin Evans and Jenna Allsup each bagging a brace. In the same group, a single goal was decisive for Llandudno against debutants Bangor, as Stevie Donougher continued her prolific start to the season.

Briton Ferry Llansawel were 4-0 winners over Swansea University, likewise Cascade at newly-promoted Cwmbran Celtic aided by a Molly Chapman treble.

Pontardawe Town had to come from behind to  beat Caldicot Town 4-2 helped by a Renee Day double, while Coed Duon edged Llanelli Town 2-1 after a crucial second goal came from substitute Sian Rees.
