Villa’s unbeaten start ended
Arsenal made it four wins from four with four second-half goals against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Kim Little broke the deadlock on 51 minutes, picked out by Lotte Wubben-Moy, she netted her 150th goal for the Gunners.
The visitors then struck three times in the last 10 minutes; Mana Iwabuchi turning in a Tobin Heath cross, Katie McCabe returning Hannah Hampton’s clearance from long-range and Little then adding her second.
Kirby sets up Chelsea victory
Fran Kirby had a hat-trick of assists as Chelsea saw off Brighton, who had pulled in back to 2-1 early in the second half.
Guro Reiten drove home an early effort and Sam Kerr headed home the hosts’ second, Danielle Carter replied but Beth England fired home Chelsea’s third.
Hughes hat-trick
Elise Hughes hit a hat-trick for Charlton as they beat basement side Watford 4-0 at Vicarage Road.
Anna Filbey opened the scoring and it was 2-0 after only eight minutes as Hughes netted her first.
The Welsh international then scored twice in quick succession early in the second half, the first on the follow up from a Georgia Ferguson save, the other from the spot.
