Arsenal ran out 9-1 winners away to ten-player West Ham in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League on Saturday evening,
Despite equalising in the 27th minute, the Hammers found themselves 4-1 behind and a player down by the break.
Katie McCabe crossed for Jill Roord to fire the Gunners in front, only for Kenza Dali to level with a perfectly struck 20-yard effort.
It all started to go wrong for the home side when Vivianne Miedema restored the advantage and Hammers captain Gilly Flaherty received a second caution for dissent, frustrated at no flag for offside.
Kim Little finished off some intricate passing for the third goal and Beth Mead then buried a loose ball to make it 4-1.

The second half soon saw Arsenal in total control with three quick goals, two from Roord – although one from an offside position – for back-to-back hat-tricks and a powerful Miedema finish.
Leah Williamson and Caitlin Foord added a goal apiece for a 9-1 result.
