#FAWNL: Sunderland Ladies extend lead to six points

Sunderland went six points clear at the top of the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier and Derby County leapfrogged Nottingham Forest into second spot.

Sunderland put four goals past Fylde for the second successive Sunday but this time keeping a clean sheet. Second-half strikes from Neve Herron and Maria Farrugia added to goals by Bridget Galloway and Keira Ramshaw in the first, as the unbeaten Black Cats made it nine wins in ten.

Derby County defeated basement side Hull City 6-1 with Ellie Gilliatt bagging a first-half brace and Hannah Keryakoplis striking twice in a three-minute second-half spell. The Tigresses pulled one back when 3-0 down, Harley Skinner netting a free kick from over 20 yards out.

TNS jumped three places to second in Division 1 Midlands after defeating Leafield Athletic 2-0. Katie Doster hit the post before turning in a Lia Lewis cross and later headed home from an Erin Taylor free-kick.
