FAWNL: Chance for Newcastle United Women to retake top spot

Newcastle United could replace Liverpool Feds as FA Women’s National League Division 1 North leaders on Wednesday evening.

Seventh plays sixth in the Northern Premier, as Brighouse trail Burnley by six points but with two games in hand.

Sporting Khalsa take on Division 1 Midlands leaders Boldmere, Newcastle will go top in Division 1 North if they beat Chester le Street.

Division 1 South East sees the Cambridge derby with United two points better off than City, while in Division 1 South West Poole play Southampton Women then on Thursday Swindon meet Maidenhead.

In other fixtures Larkhall Athletic tackle Bridgwater United in the Somerset Cup Final on Wednesday at Shepton Mallet FC, while Southampton FC Development entertain tourists Colombus State University at Totton & Eling FC on Thursday, kick off 7.30pm.
