Burnley win clash of FA Women’s National League Northern Premier top two, over 2,600 see Exeter City clinch an important victory.

Burnley replaced Wolves at the top after beating them 3-1 in front of nearly 400 at Telford, Huddersfield rose to third place as a late Kate Mallin goal made sure of the points against Liverpool Feds.

Oxford United remain unbeaten thanks to a 94th minute equaliser from Leah Burridge, after Watford’s Andria Georgiou was sent off. Portsmouth beat Billericay to go within a point of the leaders. Cheltenham hit three second-half goals to win at London Bees, Plymouth came from behind to edge Gillingham with a winner from substitute Beth Ireland.

Ella Ritchie’s 13th-minute goal gave Stockport an impressive win at top-of-the-table Barnsley, Newcastle are level with them on points after victory at Norton, while third-placed Leeds beat hosts Bradford with a Laura Bartup brace.
