Ipswich Town and Liverpool Feds went top of their respective divisions after wins in the FA Women’s National League.
Southern Premier
Gillingham 4-1 Chichester & Selsey (Att: 21)
Ipswich Town 11-2 Keynsham Town (Att: 294)
London Bees 1-5 Crawley Wasps (Att: 105)
Ipswich Town lead the division by three points from Southampton FC, having thrashed Keynsham 11-2. They led 5-0 at the break and Eloise King ended up their top-scorer on the day with four goals, Anna Grey and Sophie Peskett got a couple each.
Crawley won 5-1 away at London Bees with the aid of a Naomi Cole header and deflected free-kick, to jump three places to third. The Bees had earlier levelled through Flo Gamby’s long-range effort.
Gillingham sent Chichester & Selsey to a 4-1 loss and leapfrogged them in the table to go eighth. Amy Russ, Phoebe Leitch and Otesha Charles scored for the Gills.
Division 1 Midlands
Leek Town 4-1 Peterborough United
Leek sent Peterborough to a 4-1 defeat, Katie Maya with a couple, Katie Gibbons and Michaela Lockett adding one each for Town, Keir Perkins with a consolation for the Posh. The result buy Leek level on points with fourth-placed Doncaster Rovers Belles.
Division 1 North
Norton & Stockton Ancients 0-3 Liverpool Feds (Att: 100)
Liverpool Feds ran out 3-0 winners at Norton, to replace Leeds United in pole position due to a better goal-difference. Emily Douglas scored twice for a 2-0 interval lead, before going on to complete her hat-trick.
Division 1 South East
Billericay Town 1-0 Cambridge City (Att: 140)
Enfield Town 0-1 Stevenage (Att: 60)
Norwich City 2-1 Actonians (Att: 91)
A late Zoe Rushen goal gave Billericay a narrow win over Cambridge City and sent them three points clear at the top.
Stevenage claimed their first points of the season with the only goal of the game at Enfield, scored by Louise Godden from the edge of the area.
Norwich also sealed a first victory by coming from behind to beat third-placed Actonians 2-1, as Millie Daviss equalised and Freya Symonds forced in the decider.
Division 1 South West
Poole Town 0-1 Chesham United (Att: 28)
Chesham returned from Dorset with a single-goal success over Poole, who have lost their first five games. Gemma Fraser’s first-half effort saw United step three points ahead of the rest.
