Crystal Palace had to settle for a draw as London City Lionesses levelled in the FA Women’s Championship.

Crystal Palace took an early lead at Bromley FC in the Saturday evening fixture but drew again as London City equalised and got off the mark for the new season.

The game was only three minutes old when Lizzie Waldie met Bianca Baptiste’s corner with a powerful header into the back of the visitors’ net.

Seconds later, Elizabeta Ejupi smashed the ball against the underside of Palace’s crossbar.

The same player failed to beat Chloe Morgan went sent through by Alli Murphy, however Ejupi did score from Juliette Kemppi’s cutback.

The Lionesses went closest to taking all three points after the break, as Atlanta Primus headed against the post.
