Robins leapfrog Lionesses

Abi Harrison had Bristol ahead from a penalty on the half-hour, after Aggie Beevor-Jones was brought down in the box.

Lily Agg quickly equalised for the Lionesses following a cross from new signing from Colorado Buffs, Shanade Hopcroft.

Beevor-Jones restored the Robins lead early in the second half with a volley and Aimee Palmer got the third, with Alli Palisch taking just a few minutes to get the home side back in the game.

Although now only second to Liverpool, the Robins trail them by nine points and have now played their game in hand.

Palace go fifth

Crystal Palace moved level on points with third-placed Charlton Athletic when winning by a single goal at Sunderland, who slip to tenth.

Maria Farrugia had the ball in the net for the Black Cats but it was ruled out for offside, Mollie Sharpe then giving  Palace the lead soon afterwards on the hour mark.

Rovers defeat Rooks

Blackburn Rovers moved up to ninth place with the only goal of the game against mid-table visitors Lewes.

Kayleigh McDonald put Rovers in front two minutes after the interval, when meeting a free-kick on the volley.
