FA Women’s National League: Ipswich Town go top

Ipswich Town go top of the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier, Burnley are back up to second in the Northern Premier.

Northern Premier Division

Burnley 4-1 Derby County
Huddersfield Town 1-2 Boldmere St Michaels (Att: 59)
Stoke City 1-2 AFC Fylde

Burnley are back up to second and within a point of leaders Nottingham Forest with one game in hand, after downing Derby County aided by three goals in the first 20 minutes.

Boldmere boosted their survival hopes with victory at Huddersfield, where they led after 34 seconds through Jade Formaston. Serena Fletcher levelled but Leonie Joyce bagged the decider, while the Terriers had manager Glen Preston red-carded.

Fylde are up to eighth with a win at Stoke, where they had trailed at halftime.

Southern Premier Division

Crawley Wasps 1-4 Ipswich Town (Att: 95)
Watford P-P Oxford United
Gillingham 2-0 Plymouth Argyle (Att: 136)

Ipswich Town won at Crawley Wasps to go top, Freya Godfrey scoring twice in the opening 20 minutes.

Gillingham moved into the top half of the table by beating Plymouth Argyle.

Division 1 Midlands

Doncaster Rovers Belles 2-1 Wem Town (Att: 153)
Peterborough United 3-0 Leafield Athletic (Att: 235)
Solihull Moors 1-2 Northampton Town (Att: 50)
Sporting Khalsa 3-0 Sheffield FC (Att: 30)

Doncaster cut Stourbridge’s lead to four points, Sporting Khalsa, Peterborough and Northampton all won and sit third, fourth and fifth respectively, above Solihull in sixth.

Division 1 North

Leeds United 3-2 Bradford City
Newcastle United 4-0 Norton & Stockton Ancients (Att: 1,639)

Newcastle United defeated Norton to be one point behind top team Durham Cestria, while still having one game in hand. Rachel Lee converted a spot kick two minutes in, three more goals were added after the break.

Leeds United edged Bradford 3-2 to go fifth, Jess Rousseau getting two of their three goals around the hour mark, before City replied twice.

Queens Park Rangers 3-3 London Seaward (Att: 97)
Hashtag United 8-0 Cambridge City (Att: 30)

Hashtag United extend their lead over AFC Wimbledon at the summit to five points, Hayley West with a hat-trick against Cambridge City.

QPR held London Seaward 3-3 despite twice trailing by two goals, Kasha Pettit bagging a brace.

Division 1 South West

Keynsham Town 1-0 Portishead Town (Att: 56)
Selsey 4-0 Larkhall Athletic (Att: 55)
Swindon Town P-P Moneyfields

Selsey put four past Larkhall, Keynsham Town leapfrogged Portishead with a narrow win.
