Everton eliminated local rivals Liverpool 3-2 away to reach the Cup quarter-finals.
Arsenal went through in a shoot-out after the game at Birmingham City finished goalless.
Just the one goal at Blackburn Rovers – who knocked out holders Manchester City in the last round – but that was scored by Manchester United.
In the Plate, Jessica Rousseau bagged a brace and Lucy Watson the other goal in Doncaster Rovers Belles’ 3-2 success at Stoke City.
Honor Norton came off the bench to hit the winner for Charlton Athletic at Gillingham and Ella Humphrey also got the only goal as Brighton & Hove Albion edged visitors Aston Villa.
