Scotland international Lucy Graham has signed a new contract with Everton, to keep her at the club until the end of June 2023.

Graham, 24, told evertonfc.com: “The club has treated me in such a way since I’ve been here that it made signing a new contract an easy decision.

“When you look at the direction we are going in and the ambition Everton has, it is inspiring for me to be part of this club.”

Everton manager Willie Kirk added: “I’m delighted Lucy has signed a contract extension.

“I signed her at the earliest opportunity after I came to the club and she hasn’t disappointed. I made her a very young team captain as soon as she arrived and she met that responsibility head on from day one.

“She leads well on and off the park. She is always respectful, always logical and shows humility.

“On the pitch, her assists and goals record is very good for a midfielder – and a large majority of those goal involvements have come at very important times.”

Everton are away to Birmingham City at St George’s Park, 7pm on Thursday 11 March, with the game live on The FA Player.
