Everton Ladies are aiming to move to a new home in Walton early in the 2019-20 campaign – with a mid-October date proposed for the team’s relocation from Southport.
The Blue Girls played at Southport FC’s Merseyrail Community Stadium during 2018-19 after four years at Widnes’s Halton Stadium.
The site in Walton Hall Park is home to Liverpool County FA which, in partnership with Liverpool City Council and the FA, has supported the proposals to upgrade the facilities.
Everton plans to upgrade the existing facilities with the construction a new 500-seater stand which will include VIP and press sections. A permanent TV gantry would be installed, while standing areas would be upgraded to enable supporters to watch from all sides of the pitch.
The move, which is subject to FA approval, planning permission from Liverpool City Council and receipt of a grant from the Football Foundation, would also see new dug outs and turnstiles added to the ground.
