England Women’s U-23s will host Portugal at the Joie Stadium on Monday 30 October in the WU23 European League.

The Young Lionesses began their season with a 1-1 draw away to Norway and a 3-0 victory at home over Belgium, the latter watched by more than 2,500 fans at Shrewsbury Town FC.

WU23 head coach Emma Coates told englandfootball.com: “This season we’ve already played in front of a record crowd for the WU23 age group when we faced Belgium in Shrewsbury, so it’s brilliant that the growth of the game is also being seen across our development teams.

“These fixtures are always a great experience for our players and an opportunity for fans to see the next generation of Lionesses.

“We hope to see another great crowd turn out in Manchester as we continue our campaign.”

The match at Manchester City Women’s home ground kicks off at 7pm, with tickets available here.
