England finished with three wins from three games in the UEFA Women’s U-17 Championship qualifying round one, with a 6-0 victory over Belgium in Hungary.
The Young Lionesses were two up in quarter of an hour, Denny Draper’s 12th-minute opener soon followed by an effort from Barry Town United’s Vera Jones.
Southampton’s Sophie Harwood made it 3-0 very early in the second half, Jones doubling her tally before the hour mark.
Leicester City’s Draper later followed suit, with Arsenal’s Isabella Fisher completing the scoring in the 89th minute.
As group winners, England will be one of the top-seeded sides in League A round 2, which will decide the seven teams joining Sweden in the 2024 finals from 5 to 18 May. The draw for this stage will be made on 8 December 2023.
The European finals will also act as UEFA’s qualifier for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic.
Northern Ireland finished bottom of League A6, following a 2-0 defeat to Hungary and will be relegated to League B.
