England Women U-19s draw with Danes

England rounded off their UEFA Women’s U19 EURO qualifiers with a 1-1 draw against Denmark on Tuesday afternoon.

The Young Lionesses needed a win to finish top of the group ahead of the Danes but both sides progress to the next stage, having each recorded victories over Slovenia and host nation Slovakia in their first two games.

Jessica Simpson opening the scoring just before the hour mark, lobbing Danish keeper Vingum Andersen but the lead only lasted ten minutes, as Ida Marie Jorgensen netted from an Anna Walter corner.
