Arsenal’s Danielle Carter has sadly suffered another rupture to her anterior cruciate ligament in her knee.

The injury occurred during the Gunners’ Emirates Cup clash against Bayern Munich last month – and Carter has since been working hard to prepare for surgery, reports www.arsenal.com.

The operation will take place in the next few weeks, after which she will begin her rehabilitation programme immediately.

Carter had only returned to playing for Arsenal late last season after recovering from her first ACL which she sustained in May 2018.
