County Women’s Leagues: Histon champions, Corinthians go for treble

Histon Development were the one new champion across the County Women’s League last week but Corinthians could complete a Manx treble this weekend.

CAMBRIDGESHIRE – Histon Development clinched the Championship South title by one point after a 2-2 draw at home to their counterparts from second-placed Newmarket Town, Daisy Barns and Becky Charter were on target for the hosts in the midweek title decider.

DEVON – Exeter City Development take on promoted Liverton United in the Supplementary Cup Final tonight (Friday 11 June), 7.15pm at Coach Road, Newton Abbot. The game is being streamed live on the Devon FA’s Facebook page.

ISLE OF MAN – League champions and Floodlit Cup winners Corinthians go for the treble on Sunday 13 June, when they meet Douglas Royal in the final of the Canada Life FA Cup at the King George V Bowl, kick off 3pm.

SHEFFIELD & HALLAMSHIRE – Semi-final Sunday sees Dronfield Town host Wakefield Trinity Development at the HE Barnes Stadium and AFC Bentley are home to Barnsley Development in the Cup, while in the Shield it’s Sheffield United CF v Kiveton Park at Wales High School and Sheffield United CF Reserves v Handsworth at SGP Westfield – all 2pm kick offs.

STAFFORDSHIRE – Cup semis in Staffs too, where the last four are Walsall Wood and Stafford Town playing at BBG Stadium (12:00), Cresswell Wanderers and Tamworth Academy going head-to-head at City of Wolverhampton College (Wellington Road Campus, 2pm).

WEST RIDING – Yorkshire Amateur meet Ripon City on Sunday at Fleet Lane in the final of the Supplementary Cup.
