Holders Arsenal beat Manchester United 2-1 to set up a repeat of last year’s FA Women’s Continental League Cup Final with Manchester City.

Katie McCabe fired just over the United bar from the edge of the box and then at the other end Jess Sigsworth sent a drive just wide of the post.

The Gunners got the opening goal on 18 minutes, when Vivianne Miedema was played in by Dominique Bloodworth’s perfectly weighted ball to poke the ball past Siobhan Chamberlain.

With half time approaching, Bloodworth set up a second opportunity but a Louise Quinn header was well blocked by Katie Zelem.

Beth Mead forced Chamberlain into a save early in the second half and on the hour mark the hosts doubled their lead.

Danielle van de Donk sent Mead away down the left and her cross fell to Miedema, whose first touch found her space inside her marker to slot home.

Mead then hit the bar after being set up by Miedema and a Bloodworth effort from long range flew just over the top.

With 7 minutes left, Mollie Green fired in from 20 yards but it was only a consolation for the Championship side.

Tickets for the final at Sheffield United FC on Saturday 23rd February are priced at £10 for adults and £1 for concessions, but ‘early bird’ tickets, priced £7.50, are available until Monday 11 February.
