The FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup semi-finals on Wednesday 26 October saw Colombia and Spain win two very close ties.

Nigeria played out a goalless 120 minutes in Goa and even the shoot-out went to sudden-death before the first finalist was confirmed.

Colombia came out on top 6-5 after a total of 14 penalties, Natalia Hernández netting the decisive spot-kick.

Rebecca Welch refereed the second half of the double-header, which was played in front of a crowd of 10,264 and also looked to be heading for extra-time.

But Spain made a dramatic stoppage-time breakthrough from Lucia Corrales to secure a final berth.

The third-place play-off is at 12pm UK time on Sunday 30 October, with the final following at 3.30pm and both games live on FIFA+.
