Claudia Walker has re-joined Birmingham City on a one-and-a-half year deal, having spent the past 18 months at West Ham United.
She made 37 appearances during her time with the Irons, scoring six goals in the process.
The 26-year-old told BluesTV: “I’m delighted to be here. I know a lot of the girls and have seen a lot of the changes. I actually loved the club when I was here, so to see it progress as well, I just knew I wanted to come in and
help them get back to the WSL.
“I felt at home again. It was a smooth transition coming back in. I can’t wait to get working and improve even more as a player.”
Walker started her career at Stoke City, before making the move to WSL side Liverpool for the 2014
season, making a total of six appearances. She later switched to their Merseyside rivals Everton where she
enjoyed a successful spell. Seven goals in nine appearances helped the Toffees to the Spring Series title and regain promotion to the top tier.
In 2019, Walker joined Birmingham City on loan for the remainder of the 2018/19 season. At the end of
that campaign, she was offered a two-year deal by the club. During the 2020/21 season, she scored five league goals, including the winner in the Second City Derby, which named ‘Goal of the Season’ at the end of season awards before eventually making the switch to West Ham upon the expiry of her contract.
