Chelsea have taken the option to extend the contract of England U-19 defender Cerys Brown ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

The full back who has just turned 19, signed her first professional contract with Chelsea in July 2023, having earlier been named U-18 Player of the Season.

She made her senior debut in a Cup tie at Reading and spent the second half of last season on loan at Watford.

An England U-19 international, Brown will hope to make the squad for next month’s UEFA Women’s U-19 Championship in Lithuania.
