Chelsea Women dominate PFA Player of the Year award nominees

Chelsea Women contribute four of the six contenders for the PFA Women’s Player of the Year award.

Blues’ quartet Beth England, Sophie Ingle, Guro Reiten and Ji So-yun are joined by Arsenal duo Vivianne Miedema and Kim Little.

Striker England scored 21 goals in all competitions playing ahead of midfielders Ingle, Reiten and Ji as the Blues claimed the title and the Continental League Cup.

Meanwhile, it’s Manchester City who have four nominees in the PFA Young Player of the Year category, as Lauren Hemp, Chloe Kelly, Ellie Roebuck and Georgia Stanway line-up alongside Manchester United’s Lauren James and Erin Cuthbert of Chelsea.

The winners will be announced on Tuesday 8 September.
