Charlton Athletic have announced the signings of winger Charlotte Kerr and centre-back Amelia Ritchie, from Watford and Brighton & Hove Albion respectively, after the addition of midfielder Amber Stobbs from West Ham.
Kerr, 24, ends a near-decade-long stay at Watford, and was a regular in their WSL 2 campaign last season, 19-year-old Ritchie also appeared in the same division last term and is a full Wales international, while Stobbs comes with previous top flight experience from her time at Reading and Everton.
Addicks manager Riteesh Mishra told cafc.co.uk of his latest signings:
Charlotte Kerr –
“She’s a great athlete, comfortable technically and someone who will pick up the tactical info quickly and this is important for us moving forward.
Amelia Ritchie –
“She’s got a lot of potential which we are excited to work with. She adds some international experience to us but is someone who needs to prove herself at this level, which we want to help her develop and do.”
Amber Stobbs –
“She’s got good technique which we knew from last season playing against her. She’s positive in 1v1 situations, her running capacity is very good, and the big thing for me is she’s got the confidence to compete at a higher level which I think is important for us.”
