Charlton Athletic’s latest signing is central defender Renée Hector, who helped Spurs win promotion to the FA Women’s Super League last season.

The 24-year-old spent three years at Spurs, lifting four trophies during her first season including the FA Women’s Premier League South and FAWPL Championship Play-Off.

On signing for Charlton, Hector told cafcwomen.co.uk: “I feel really excited, I think the club have got big ambitions and I hope I can be a good addition to the squad to hopefully get the club to where they need to be.

“I’ve played against Charlton a fair few times and it’s always been a tough game. They’ve always been towards the top of the table.”

Hector started her career with Watford, where she made over 40 appearances in the FA Women’s Super League 2
