Charlton Athletic have brought in Wales youth international attacker Ellie Leek and Scottish-born forward Lois Heuchan, both from French Division 2 side Le Havre.

Leek began her career with Bristol Academy, winning the FAWPL Reserve Cup in 2013 before a four-year spell in the US with University side Auburn Tigers, while Heuchan also played out in the US at the University of Kansas.

Speaking to cafcwomen.co.uk, Leek said: “I’m really excited to be here. The coaches promote a really good environment to be in, it’s very competitive and the coaches recruit on personality.”

Heuchan added: The first week’s been great and I’m excited to see what the rest of the season holds. There’s a lot of new faces here but we are all here to win and I’ve settled in well.”
