Celtic defeated Glasgow City 3-0 in the Sky Sports Cup Quarter-Finals at the Excelsior Stadium on Friday 10 November.

Glasgow City twice went close in the opening minutes, with Hayley Lauder heading wide and Kelsey Daugherty parrying a Lauren Davidson shot, before Celtic took a sixth-minute lead when Natalie Ross headed home a cross from Menglu.

Ross also had the ball in the net from a corner but Paula Partido was penalised for her challenge on keeper Lee Gibson.

Brenna Lovera was denied by Daugherty and it was another missed opportunity that City would pay for, as Amy Gallacher doubled Celtic’s lead six minutes after the break, Gibson having only cleared a corner to her.

Kit Loferski’s pace took her past Kenzie Weir and she cut inside to clip the ball over Gibson and into the net.

Sky Sports Cup quarter-finals continue on Sunday 12 November (2pm)
