Celtic were 3-0 winners over Rangers on Friday evening as they went top of the Scottish Women’s Premier League on goal-difference.

There was just the one goal in it at half-time, Natasha Flint was denied by the post from 20 yards but Caitlin Hayes headed home a Jacynta corner.

Pamela Tajonar had kept Celtic ahead when tipping a Rachel McLauchlan cross-shot over the bar.

Seconds after the interval, Flint played on Shen Menglu’s cutback for Amy Gallagher to double the lead.

Minutes later it was 3-0, when Hayes again got her head to a Jacynta corner kick and the ball ended up in the back of the net.

Jenny Danielsson went close to pulling one back but her free kick was turned-over the bar by Tajonar.

The result put Celtic four points ahead of Rangers and narrowly in front of Glasgow City, who now have a game in hand.
