Celtic into Scottish Women’s Cup semis, Rangers extend SWPL lead

Rangers edged Motherwell to move five points clear in the SWPL, Celtic reached the Scottish Women’s Cup semi-finals.

Scottish Cup Quarter-Final

Aberdeen 0-2 Celtic

Celtic won through to the semi-finals with a goal in each half away to Aberdeen. Shen Mengyu broke the deadlock close to the interval and Jodie Bartle headed in the second for the Hoops.

SWPL 1

Motherwell 0-1 Rangers

Lizzie Arnot turned in a Brogan Hay cross at the back post for the only goal of the game on 57 minutes. Arnot later had an effort tipped onto the bar, as had Motherwell’s Kodi Hay by Megan Cunningham in the early stages.

SWPL 2

Queen’s Park 1-0 St Johnstone
Stirling University 0-4 Boroughmuir Thistle

Boroughmuir went second in the table when sending Stirling University to the foot, Ellie Taylor scoring 90 seconds into her SWPL debut and later doubling her tally.

Queen’s Park climbed off the bottom as they edged St Johnstone in a one-goal game.
