Manchester United Women’s Welsh international midfielder Carrie Jones will spend the 2022/23 season on loan at Leicester City.
She signed her first professional contract with United in November 2021, and has made 10 first-team appearances in all competitions.
Head coach Marc Skinner told manutd.com: “This move is a perfect opportunity for Carrie to gain the valuable experience she needs to continue her personal and professional development.
“Carrie is an exciting prospect and with the increased exposure of playing regular first-team football, we believe it will put her in the perfect space for Manchester United in the future..”
Speaking to LCFC TV, Jones said: “I am really pleased and excited to get started. I am very impressed with Belvoir Drive, and I can’t wait to get going. The facilities here are really good and that shows how well they are supported in the women’s game – it’s a huge advantage that LCFC Women have.
“I am really excited to work with Lydia Bedford. What she’s done for this team over the last couple of months has been positive. She wants to take this team to the next level, and I can’t wait to be a part of that.”
