The Orchard Welsh Premier Women’s League’s awards evening saw Madison Schupbach of Cardiff Met declared Player of the Year, while Shaunna Jenkins from Swansea City was Young Player of season 2018-19.

Schupbach saw off fellow nominees Jordanne Greenough (Llandudno), Stacey John-Davies (Swansea City) and Kate Jeremiah (Abergavenny), while also collecting the Golden Boot for being top scorer with 18 league goals.

The Young Player of the Year was apparently a tightly-contested category, with Swansea’s Jenkins edging out Deanna Lewis (Cyncoed) and Courtney Young (Briton Ferry Llansawel).

Hayley Williams, Manager of Port Talbot Town, was recognised for her ‘personal commitment to growing and developing as a coach, the work she has done for her players, alongside the fantastic season Port Talbot have enjoyed,’ in receiving the Woman of the Year honour.
