Bluebirds to face Swans in final
Cardiff City FC got the only goal of the FA of Wales Cup semi-final with Cyncoed, to advance to the final where they will meet Swansea City.
City goalkeeper Ceryn Chamberlain did well to rush off her line and parry Clare Daley’s effort away, before Alana Murphy flicked an effort from range over Laura O’Sullivan’s head for a 1-0 lead on 42 minutes.
Lisa Owen saw her shot tipped away by the ‘keeper in the last 20 minutes but the one goal proved enough for the Bluebirds.
Abergavenny defeat Archers
Abergavenny went fourth in the WPWL table with a 1-0 victory over leaders Cardiff Met, the Archers first defeat in fourteen league games this term.
Maxine Mudge scored the only goal 5 minutes before the interval, latching onto a rebound from a free-kick – saved initially by Sara Moreira – to slot home.
The win moves Abergavenny up to fourth above Cardiff City FC.
