International friendly fixtures featured a 5-0 win for Canada over Australia and a 3-0 victory by the USA against China.

A first-half brace by Nichelle Prince set Canada up for a 5-0 defeat of Australia, her first coming after pinching the ball of a defender, the second with a quickly-taken effort via an Ashley Lawrence pass.

Cloe Lacasse snatched the ball of a defender before making it 3-0, Simi Awujo netted from outside the box when a defensive header fell for her and Adriana Leon headed in the final goal – all in the first 17 minutes of the second half.

Christine Sinclair and Sophie Schmidt will likely make their last appearances for Canada when they again face the Matildas on Tuesday.

USA were 3-0 winners over China at Fort Lauderdale, ahead of a second meeting on 5 December.

Trinity Rodman crossed for Sophia Smith to score after just eight minutes. Smith might have had a first-half hat-trick but for two good saves by Xu Huan.

Seven minutes into the second half the lead was doubled, as Lindsey Horan’s delivery beat everyone, including the goalkeeper.

Rodman rounded off the scoring with a tap-in from a cross by Jaedyn Shaw.

Elsewhere, Chile edged Peru 1-0 with a Yanara Aedo penalty, Colombia played out a goalless draw with New Zealand, it was one each between Morocco and Uganda, while Bangladesh beat Singapore 3-0.
