Burnley back up to second in FA Women’s National League

Burnley won 2-1 at Huddersfield Town to return to second place in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division on Wednesday 5 April.

Northern Premier Division

Huddersfield Town 1-2 Burnley (Att: 79)

Lara Miller and Evie Priestley struck for Burnley inside 30 minutes, Yasmin Mason replying with a stoppage-time  consolation.

The Clarets overtook Wolves by two points from a game more and are within four points of Nottingham Forest with a game in hand, ahead of the leaders hosting West Brom this evening.

Division One North

Leeds United 0-2 Norton & Stockton Ancients (Att: 120)

Norton are just a point behind sixth-placed Leeds after defeating them on their own turf but have played four matches more.

Holly Manders and Estelle Clark got their first goals for Norton in the second-half, to complete the double over Leeds United.

Division One South East

Cambridge City 0-1 Norwich City (Att: 101)

Norwich City had a narrow win at tenth-placed Cambridge City, to sit one point short of London Seaward in third. Kathryn Stanley found the bottom corner for the Canaries after 25 minutes.

Division One South West

Moneyfields 0-0 Selsey

Selsey went seventh on goal-difference when holding third-placed Moneyfields to a goalless draw.
