Briton Ferry Llansawel are celebrating promotion to the Genero Adran Leagues Premier Division after a play-off victory over Llandudno.

Clear champions of the South Division, they faced North winners Llandudno at Newtown FC and ran out 4-0 victors, having lost to Wrexham at the same stage last season.

Alison Witts headed home Megan Kearle’s corner for the breakthrough on the hour mark, having rattled the post minutes before from 30 yards.

A Kearle corner again led to a goal as Laura-May Walkley gave Briton Ferry a two-goal cushion inside the final 20 minutes.

Llandudno’s hopes were further hit by a second caution for Stacey Tradewell and although Robinson saved a penalty from Witts, the latter was not to be denied a second goal, heading in a Jess Denscombe flag-kick.

Fleur Jenkins added a fourth in stoppage time, as Briton Ferry sealed their second return to the Welsh top flight.
