The 18-year-old striker joins the Vixens from Manchester United having spent the second half of the 2018/19 season on loan at Sheffield United.

Salmon, who is currently competing for England at the U-19 Euros in Scotland, told the club’s website: “Bristol City is a club that is renowned for giving chances to young players and that was big reason behind my decision to join the club.

“I feel as though I’m ready to make the step up to the Barclays FA Women’s Super League and I can’t wait to get going at the start of the season.”

Tanya Oxtoby said of her latest recruit: “She is a very gifted player who possess an abundance of raw talent and her out and out pace will make her a threat to all WSL defences this season, I am excited to see how much further she can progress and develop with us.

“I’ve said since I started here that as a club Bristol City Women has an ethos of unearthing and developing talented young players by providing a high performance environment to develop their game understanding through regular playing time.”
